Christine & Michael celebrated their big day in New Hope, PA. The wedding day was so romantic, intimate, and filled with elegant, rustic decor – everything looked INCREDIBLE!
The florists set up a lush flower arch for the ceremony. Shortly after the ceremony, we captured all the family formals on the beautiful property, followed by their sweet bride & groom portraits.
They had set up a large white tent with custom flooring for the elegant backyard wedding reception, decorated with twinkly lights and chandeliers. The lights created such a dreamy and romantic atmosphere for the night.
All the First Looks & Private Vows During Their Backyard Wedding in Pennsylvania
Christine wanted to share special first looks with all her favorite people! She had a first look with her bridal party and mom, followed by a first look with the groomsmen. First looks are one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. It’s always so special to witness the joy, surprise, and all the happy tears!
After the first looks with the wedding party, Christine went to see Michael in the garden. Their first look was so beautiful & they chose to exchange private vows then and there as well! And when I say private first looks, I mean PRIVATE. Some couples decide to have their photographer around to capture it, but Christine & Michael wanted it to be just the two of them.
Moments like these reinforce the belief that your wedding day is not just a photo shoot. Their decision to keep certain moments just for themselves was SO powerful. I hope this serves as a reminder for you, too – your wedding day is all about you and your partner, and it’s important to do what’s best for you!
The Importance of an Engagement Session Ahead of Your Wedding
I can’t emphasize enough how vital it is to connect with your photographer before the big day. It’s a game-changer, really. Not only do you get gorgeous photos to celebrate your engagement, but it also helps ease the stress and brings a level of comfort and familiarity with the camera. I’m so glad that Christine & Michael chose to have an engagement session with me ahead of their Pennsylvania wedding day!
